Tool Cabinets Overview

Flexmill tool cabinets provide mechanical dust protection and storage for system tools. The tool cabinet is controlled by the cell controller, and tools can be maintained from outside of the cell during the process. There are different kinds of tool cabinets available depending the type needed and the total amount of tools.

Tool Revolver

 

The automatic revolving tool cabinet has space for six (6) linishing tools, a measuring probe, a spindle motor and four (4) rotary tools.

The revolving tool cabinet is operated automatically and is controlled by the cell controller. The tool cabinet is equipped with an integrated measurement unit for checking the TCP (tool center point) for tools. The operator maintains the tool cabinet from outside of the cell. The exchange of tool consumables during production can be done during the process cycle. The operator’s access door to the cabinet is locked and monitored with safety sensors when the robot is accessing the tool cabinet during the production cycle.

The equipment provides a convenient belt changing position to enable easy changing without reaching into the equipment. Tools can be also lifted out from the cabinet for the maintenance.

 

 

Tool rack

The tool rack cabinet is especially designed for spindle and rotary tools, but a model for linishing tools is also available. The tool rack cabinet can have up to 24 positions for spindle tools. Tool cabinet is equipped with an integrated measurement unit for checking the TCP (tool center point) for tools.

The operator maintains the tool cabinet from outside of the cell. The exchange of tool consumables during production can be done during the process cycle. The operator’s access door to the cabinet is locked and monitored with safety sensors when the robot is accessing the tool cabinet during the production cycle.

Tools can be lifted out of the cabinet for maintenance.
